Coffee House is a spectacle organized by Prom Committee which involves musical performances, delicious snacks, improvisation skits and free coffee. People from 10th through 12th grade participated and sang. People from these grades, and a big table of teachers attended the show, the gym foyer became a nucleus of laughter and joy.
When I finished participating in the MUN mock security council, on the way out I saw a large poster, a sign-up sheet for Coffee House, it was an opportunity to perform and sing, and have people enjoy my voice and my style. On the Sunday before the week of Coffee House, I was narrowing down songs to find the perfect tune to interpret. I tried and sang some Bruno Mars, some Ed Sheeran, some Alicia Keys and some Rihanna, but the melody that I really felt identified to was the song Mistletoe by Justin Bieber. It was this holiday tambourine that cheered me up and attracted me, when I sang it and I felt the passion that the song wanted to express and I had a very reflecting moment of my life, I understood that without passion, life is meaningless. I wanted to improve my performing skills and get out of comfort zone so I did not think twice and I got on stage. At first I was nervous, my microphone sort of started to shake, because of the feeling that everyone expected greatly from me and the pressure of having to fulfill my mission. I got into the chorus and I understood that singing was my way of producing art and aesthetic and it was my way of delivering my emotions, so I knew it was my moment to shine. In the end, I did a bit of high-pitched improvisation, and everyone clapped, and I felt so triumphant and for the first time in weeks I felt truly appreciated.
This is me singing Mistletoe.

There were countless other performances, overall it was extremely intriguing and the performers all had wonderful voices, but all different in their own way.
These are pictures of the separate presentations:
These 3 did a wonderful job singing Someone Like You by Adele, the sound was really rich and the voices were really moving.
We enjoyed from some really interesting artwork, reflecting global issues.
We had jolly and vivacious MCs
The beatbox was so amazing it felt like electronic music, every beat, with some scratching and a unique mix of beats from Benjamin Grande.
There voices were comforting and powerful and very groovy and smooth-sounding.
A stunning voice, some spectacular beats, and a breathtaking guitar.
Joao and Nina, the brother and sister sang a excitable and meaningful Portuguese song.
People made a huge circle and we did a fun rotating of taking turns to make an movement and a sound, and the whole circle of people had to imitate that gesture and noise. People made all kinds of weird facial expressions and little dances and sounds, that were hilarious and fun to redo. I was not part of the Improv Comedy Club, but out of the blues they invited me to participate in all of the activities. Later, we had to pretend to be in Disneyland as a family, and Benjamin Grande had to describe what we were doing, the descriptions were simple but amusing. We also acted out rapunzel, and every time we had to act out the same piece in a shorter period of time, it challenged all of us in quick comprehension but at the same time acting out what seemed impossible from a Disney tale. The last part is where we needed to silently act out the reason why a student was late for class and so that he can correctly guess the reason why. We had to mime to express that the boy was late for class because his dog died and he was following a herd of alien frogs, it was really exciting but exigent.
The Improv Comedy Club did a little show about going to Disneyland for the first time.
One of the best parts was the food, I tried almost everything. The double chocolate cookies were scrumptious, creamy all full-favoured. The dulce de leche rolls were fresh and syrupy. The pound cake was pleasing and aromatic with vanilla.
The cupcakes were colorful and tasty!
It was a very entertaining afternoon! A sensational combo of music, snacks, coffee, drama and unity!
